I like this idea...
BTW I usually goto, as well as most of the american members here I'm sure, these sites for deals.
Those of us that browse other forums like anandtech or just find a really good deal direct from vendors that would interest the other MP3CAR members.
I think that could clear up some of the traffic in the classifieds section too.
Just a thought.
Oh come on now, there have to be more sites than that, you guys can share your secrets, I won't tell anyone!
If the forum starts, I might even fill it for the first month!
To be honest, the best place to get Hot Deals is from places like FatWallet and Anandtech.
The traffic that both of those receive per minute is probably greater than the traffic this forum receives per hour.
Therefore, if you want the latest and hottest deals, you've got to browse the others, otherwise you'll miss out.
Unless this forum starts getting as much traffic as AT/FW do, there's no point in a HD section IMO.
BTW, GruvThang, who are you on Anandtech? I go by the same name there as I do here.

Umm...most of the other sites feed off of Anandtech & Fatwallet. They are the two best deal sites on the net. Nothing really comes close to them. If it is on another board and NOT on one of these two sites, you can assure yourself that someone will post the deal at both of these sites within minutes. Problem is that you have to monitor the boards constantly to get in on some of the really good deals.
Ever since the huge DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act)-Black Friday (Day after Thanksgiving) lawsuit and scandal, Fatwallet's media coverage has enabled its membership/lurkership to grown more than ten-fold. This makes getting in on the hot deals a lot tougher.
Plus, there are tons of eBay powersellers who use these sites as sources of information. They often gang up on a thread that is a VERY hot deal and rate it "Poor". You don't see poorly rated threads since the FatWaller, by default, does not show you threads that have a "Poor" feedback rating.
i stopped using ben for couple other bargain sites that list deals like dealcather.com and buyforless.com http://www.buyforless.com. they do a better job i think of posting info.
