Too many forums!!!

I agree as well. having all the extra topics makes it even easier to search as well, because you can search all the subforums instead of searching the whole board.

I think it's fine the way it is. There is so much info here that if you didn't split it up into the forums we have you would never find anything.

How about having an Alt-OS section under software? That would get rid of the two MAC and Linux sections.

Or you could have a forum for OS's and then a sub section in there or each of the OS, Windows, Linux, Mac.

Exactly! Like have an OS section and move the windows optimizations there, the linux, and the mac forums. We'd have a bit of a probelm with the mac **** because its also hardware

Linux and Mac are separate OSes, even if OS-X is Posix. I don't feel strongly about it either way, the Linux forum was just created. Give it sometime. The OS forum with subforums may be pretty good though.

I'd also combine input and output devices into 1 giant forum. So under the input, I'd also have GPS and OBDII, and on the output I'd have LCD and VDF sections, etc. The general forums should be combined too. Kee the n00b forum separate, because it will be easier to find for them which = less angry posts.

If you think there are too many forums ... you probably only have a " C:\ " drive and ALL your applications are under " Program files ", and everything else is under " My Documents " or sitting on your Desktop...
( like 350GB all in ONE folder ) - needle in a haystack..

I navigate rather easily throughout the forums, utilizing (right click) new windows to easily bounce between posts and forums ....
The mods have put serious effort into the structure based on the usage and traffic of certain topics and they continue to tweak where needed.

I too have realized that there is a " New Post " button, and use it all the time, then immediately select " Mark Forums read "
