It's not how many posts you have, it's the usefulness of the posts you do. I must say that 90% of their posts are pretty well useless and are just comments.

Now from my point of view and no doubt many others, this clutters the boards and defeats the purpose. The purpose of these boards is to be able to easily find information about MP3 carputers and such topics, no?

When a board gets cluttered with general messages and chit-chat, it becomes difficult to quickly find the information and help you are looking for. This then causes people to get frustrated and to seek help elsewhere off other sites then mp3car.com..

So what's my point? Well I'm mainly writing this for SkinnyBoy's sake as I know they'll read over this.

General posts and comments to others are fine if done in moderation and apply to the topic of the thread, giving a useful insight and viewpoint of what ever MP3car knowledge you may have. On the other hand however, useless scrap posts such as scrolling "DOS" over and over again, as well as "Does that mean you like drinking" are completely worthless posts and shed no information what so ever.

So my pointers to you before you do end up banned, of which you would be on a month long ban by now if this was my site, but my pointers are this.

1) Think before you submit. Is the post you wish to do of any use what so ever, if not, don't post.

2) Your SIG is SNAFU. Something like that is fine with emails and is the 'net standard of 5 lines or less, but on a forum such as this it does not work. Not to mention that not everyone can see it correctly. Looks like crud on my screen.

I'm sure I can think of more things, but as these are the two worst issues at hand that you can't seem to understand, I thought I'd address them..

Now what I'd like you to do is to stop and think about what I've said... Stop and think of where you are and where you are posting... Until you can understand, as well as follow the etiquette of this board you will continue to be flogged at any wrong doing, no matter how small.

In closing, do NOT waste our time with posting sprees of useless information just to boost your "post" count. Do NOT waste our time in posting useless comments and replies to people. And do NOT whine when people flog you for doing something you know full well isn't appreciated on this forum.

If he has become that much of a nuisance, I can do any one thing. Delete the useless posts (from all parties, not just him).

I agree - this board is NOT a posting competition, useless posts are a waste of everyone's time to wade through. If you've got something remotely meaningful to contribute, great, go for it. But if the posts are meaningless one-liners that go nowhere - save it for some place that may actually give a flying f#$@.

I don't think skinnyboy's 'sig' is too far out of line, though it's relevance is questionable. There's lots of others with larger sig's on this site, though they are a wee bit more relevant to the topic at hand.

Outright banning is always the choice of last resort. I don't think skinnyboy is near that stage yet.

i have my thumbs up for the idea. and his sig has got to change. what the **** is that. It looks like animall crap. (dont make me bring up the www.goatse.?? website)for all the sick people out there.....sorry i didnt post the last two letters of the site. We dont need this board turning into a porn site.

I'm new to this place, and don't know the whole story, but it seems to me that banning somebody doesn't guarantee that won't come back (unless you can ban ip addresses, which still isn't going to be 100%). How hard is it to create a new login (different name), and cause more trouble? I don't know what Skinny Boy has done in the past, but if he's as immature as has been suggested, then he would probably come back with a vengeance and be more annoying.

The best way to deal with this is probably to ignore the person.

Is it possible for someone to reset his post count to 0. Maybe that would put an end to his posting spree. It seems he is only interested it post count. I don't think he realizes that this board is different from most on the internet. Without question this is the cleanest and most informationally desne forum that I have been to.

Honestly, I don't see what all the fuss is about. So he's mildly annoying--so what? I'm annoyed by people who seem incapable of writing with full-length words (yes, i m talking 2 u), but it's just something you deal with, ignore, whatever. I haven't been following most of the discussions here, but I've noticed that some people seem especially arrogant and downright rude to members like SkinnyBoy and that DJ-Metro (or whatever his name is) guy. So maybe one of them is slightly annoying and the other used (god forbid!) a laptop for his player. Big deal. As for useless posts--please. Every time SkinnyBoy says something annoying, there're 30 people responding, saying he's an idiot. Do those posts serve much of a purpose?

i dont think his age is much of a factor here i know several 13 year olds who are more mature then him. He was good for two days (when he was not posting)
