    Cool

Do NOT attempt to remove yourself from their mailing list. Doing so only confirms that your address is active, and thus goes onto a "high priority" spam list to be sold to thousands of other customers. Best thing to do is filter it out and send back fake "Unable To Deliver" messages.

Yeah Aarons advice is the smartest thing to do. Just thinking that maybe someone ripped our emails from the "example mp3car's" page listing?

    Cool

It's so hard to track down the origin of spam these days, that I don't even bother. Most of the time, you come back to a dymanic IP address located God knows where (not even worth the time to look up on Arin) that will go down just as fast as it goes up. Basically, I've set up a set of rules on my mailserver that kills most adds before I see them by sending back a "Mailbox not found" message. Most spam software will automatically remove "dead" addresses from their list. I haven't really been able to tell if it doing much good though. Spam has got to the point where I just plain ignore it. If I waste my time trying to deal with it, I could spend all day. I am fairly secure in the knowledge that the advertisors are actually loosing money on me anyway...Although that penis extender looks like an interesting...nevermind.
