Forum Suggestions

I think that MP3car should add 3 sections:

an announcements forum where mods/admins can post announcements that we need to see

an FAQ forum where everyone can post and help the FAQ effort

and finally a Car Installation Dicussion where we can help others with their car installs.

anyone else like my ideas?

That third one seems a little too broad and is basically what all of the current discussions do. Maybe I missed where you were going with it.

Something I would like to see is maybe a chat room. Im getting pretty board here at work and G.E. wont let me use AIM or ICQ or any other chat program...Hrmm I better check to see if they didnt filter web chats too. But anyways, a chat room would alow indepth help conversations. Then again, this would probably require some work on Moon's part or whomever makes this site tick so well.

I don't know about adding more sections, there are an awful lot already. In some ways I miss the way it was awhile ago.

i think general discussion and sugesstions/comments should be combined

or general discussion and off topic be combined

a faq should is a really good idea (dont look at me) but you need a link on the main mp3car site too it so ppl would read it b4 coming to forum and asking the same questions

car installation is a good idea help ppl install and hook up their antennas to their tuners and tv cards and wiring up their sound shiznit

as for announcemtns mabye at the very top of forum site their can be a a message box and the moderators can post a single announcement. What i mean by this then you click on the forum link or come to the forum their would be the latest annoucement b4 you go into any topic and then when a new accouncement is placed the other one goes, and then a small link under that to direct you to the other older annoucements.

i think this would be best neetest way of doing it if you can understand my thoughts.

What about the name? MP3car.com A lot of these cars have gone WAY past just MP3s. It kind of down plays the extreme that some people go to on their projects. I mean back in the day when there weren't in-dash mass manufactured players it was appropriate.
