On a few other vbulliten forums I use they have galleries as an option in the top pane with calander, new posts etc... The gallery also appears under the info about each user on each post as a button. Users can upload all of there pictures and put them in specific catigories... on the other websites it helps a TON and drives alot of traffic to the site through google images and stuff... yes? no?

If you think about it - the forums here don't really have that much work put into them by the actual site owners, as far as I can tell. The delegated admins do what they can to police, but I'm sure they don't have access to make major mods, and stuff to the forums.Originally Posted by kirbycope
If you are interested in having your own gallery, PM me and we can set one up for you at www.mobile-effects.com which you can link your pictures in your posts here.
PM me, and let me know your mobile-effects.com username
We'll create your gallery album, and assign admin priviledges to your gallery so you can upload your own pictures, manage captions, etc.

Nice idea, but what about the increase in bandwidth?

Good point. We wouldn't want even higher prices at the store, would we?Originally Posted by ODYSSEY

even higher? the prices are pretty competitive for the lvel of service i've been given...much better than getting a 10 bucks discount on another site and having to have a runaround to get the products...
The admins dont put effor into the site? you probably dont know what it is like to run a REALLY busy website.... this forum is VERY active (not as active as some others, but much mre than average).... if you ever get your website to the amount of hits that this one handles with the same kind of system (databases, etc) you might understand the logistics involve in adding a very heavy system like galleries, but this is up to the admins anyways...

Any ideas for putting a PC in this? :)
flickr works pretty well. if only there was a way to catalog flickr sets of setups...
i can understand the bandwidth loads, but with the amount of hits the gallery would add there would be an increase in sales... it would take a bit more administration but thats not hard to find. i think that it would definetly help the users of the site, increase the number of hits to the site, in turn increasing sales and generating more $$. More work, yes, but a definate boost in features, user participation and sales.
