AMD XP 2600+/512MB RAM/120GB hard drive
Opus 150W/DVD/GPS/7" Lilliput TS/802.11g/Bluetooth
Installed.
-GPSSecure- - GPS Tracking
-AltTabber2.2.2- - Handy touchscreen utility.
Would put a lot of stress on the server (searching everytime a topic is posted)
May work fine on a small board like clubxb (23 users right now) but probably wouldnt work so well on this board (376 users right now)
it doesnt automatically search its an option

This has come up in the past. If we have just a simple button, it is questionable whether the noobs will actually take the time to click it, and if we require the search before posting, the long-time users will be ****ed off. (Heck, things were bad enough during the few days when an upgrade broke the "quick post" feature!)
-g.
to be honest i didnt search everytime i posted something in the past but if i had that button i definately would have
its not gonna solve the problem 100% but it may help
yes the quick post was a pain for a few people
but the ratings (tho unfunctional) didnt cause any problems in upgrading

Any way to check someone's post count and only make it optional after x posts? Might be inconvenient for someone like me (long time lurker, but seldom post), we suck anyway, so no big deal there.
Some people are like Slinkies........
They serve no apparent purpose in life other than to occasionally bring joy to ones heart when they are pushed down a flight of stairs.
Good idea, but what would this magic number be? I mean, I have over 500 posts but I still find myself asking a FAQ now and then.Originally Posted by CT_Driver
