Exclamation Attachements Quota -- Limit Too Low

    Hello dear mp3Car.com admins,

I've received the following error when trying to upload a 195K zip file:

Before cleaning up some of my attachements, there was over 3MBs of stuff I had on your servers.

Since the vBulletin software upgrade, as far as I can see, the limit is now around 500K...
That's too low, especially for those of us who don't have hosting.

Is there a way to bring it up to, let's say, 5MB per user?
Or at least give Special Permissions to us users who are trying to be helpful with apps and expanatory pics?
For Sale: Carputer (CarPC) & RCA Y-Adapter
Newsflash: Take a look at my unsold stuff above, thanks!
Up Next: Make an OBD to Serial cable & Redo the "MMI buttons"

Haha. I have almost 8MB in attachments. I tried to delete a few, but gave up.

What about users that have been here for years?

500k is waaaaay too low. A third of a 3.5 floppy is not the way of the future.

It could be temprary because the software upgrade making sure it doesn't clog up too much.

Mine is at 5.5MB but the status bar is full. Seems like whatever you had uploaded when the system changed is what your limit is.
    Spent so far: $1,755

No it's not... When you start removing items, you'll notice that until you get to below around 500K, the bar won't be decreasing.

They will have to remove that limit, if we start deleteing attachments, half the threads will not make sense.

I don't think I've ever seen any mention of trying to limit the attachments that are posted... I always thought the content was welcomed... & that's what makes this site what it is... & the cost of that was server space... I figured that a forum like this expected these costs, & that it just goes with the teritory of hosting a huge forum such as this....

do we need to start taking up donations for the mp3car forums to be able to host attachments? do we need to have member fee's? is this the norm with other forums?(I never screwed with any other forum)
