Why are the member ranking/ratings gone?

I turned off the reputation feature. Maybe one day it will come back but right now it's being abused to the point to where it's irrelevant.

oh well. if they cant let 30 or so members out of 40340, most of whom are old timers around here and have more than contributed their fair share of help over the years, have a bit of fun....

oh and would it be slightly contraversial of me to mention that the biggest abuse of the rep on here was actually a single 2000 point rep given to GodofCPU by a single mystery user with the power to rep 2000!

Did somebody complain about it? Or was this just a personal observation? As far as I could see, most people were using it legit. There were a select few, myself included, that were having fun with it. But I also still used it in a legit manner as well. If I saw a good post, or good info, I'd be sure to rep and let 'em know.

It really doesn't matter if some people were using it legitimately if others were abusing it...nothing could be accepted as valid.

Who are abusing the reps?

My feeling is that it's been removed because someone is not getting any.
