FAQ subfourm in the Car Audio section?

    Ok,

there seems to be some questions asked over and over in the car audio subforum. I have only been around for a few months but I notice it. I know we have a wiki, but I think people are more drawn to the forum instead. I also know there is a FAQ section, but I think it's more of a general topics associated with carputers.

Should we have a FAQ section in the Car Audio subforum? There are many topics that could be made stickies, but then the forum would just be a bunch of stickies. What are your thoughts?

I agree that in the Car Audio forum this is an issue. What do others think?

Also, RED and I were discussing this, I also know there are forums geared towards specifically car audio and it may let car audio only people in (i.e. non-carputer people) but they come in here probably curious about the whole carputer idea. I think the more the community grows, the more ideas are generated and it helps our hobby grow with more advacned products.

I can think of 6 FAQ already:

    1) Can a carputer compete with a HU in SQ?
    2) What sound deadening materials should I use?
    3) What software programs are available for tuning audio?
    4) How do I get sound card ________ to do _______? (this is kind of generalized question)
    5) What are ways to connect a caputer to an exisiting HU (stock or aftermarket)
    6) Should I use a CAP?

There are more and I will try to keep a look out for them.

I think a Car Audio FAQ subforum is a great idea. It would help reduce the number of stickies in the main Audio forum, as well as introduce a fast way to find specific information.

    populating it now.

Just like the regular FAQ emporium, this one is moderated. New threads will have to be approved before you will see them. Doing this to keep the Sub-forum clean.

If you have a thread that you would like to see moved into the Car Audio FAQ sub forum, please PM me, email me, whatever...to get in touch with me...or possibly other moderators.
