Vbulletin Mods please!!

It amazes me the things we do daily on this site yet we lack many features in Vbulletin, for example

google searching availible right on the standard search button
embeding youtube or google videos in a post
the ability to ignore a post if wanted by clicking ignore
live title editing for typoed subjects (opuis 150 wanted etc)
autosizing of pictures embedded in a thread / thumbnailing (click on it if its too big)

theres many other great ideas right here in this forum, (Suggestions/Comments) but it seems to fall upon deaf ears can someone please explain?

This is an add-on for vBulletin.
I don't see this being of much use. Perhaps in SOYP and Worklogs, maybe.
This is also one of those things that I can see being used in My Thread more than anywhere else...

These all have their merit, as well...

That's not a feature out of the box for vBulletin. However, I'll make note of it.

I'm sorry, I don't see a purpose to this on this forum. I just don't see it being worth the time to do. Sure, it would be used in a select few threads, but to do something like this just so that it can be used in OT seems like the time could be used elsewhere better.

I'll give you one reason. When it's put in a demanding tone, it will be over looked. When it's asked for, yet with the understanding that people have other things they have to take care of, then it's given consideration.

You also need to understand that the more hacks you add to a forum, the more unsecure it becomes. THe harder it becomes to do just basic updates as well.

I'm actually in the process of working on a major mod for the software forums. I'm sorry that you can't see that behind the scenes. However, if I had mentioned it eariler, I would have been bombarded with questions asking when it would be avaliable, or if this or that could be added, etc.

This is what I've been working on.

I want to test it in the StreetDeck forums for about a week. The intention is to offer these modifications to all of the other front end developers once it is put through the rounds.

It's just underneath the original search function.

This is a mod that had to be customized to not use Google Ad Sense...since it's very important to us to keep this forum ad free.

I don't see anything that would enable a user to ignore a single post, but I do see a mod to ignrore a thread. Because it requires modifying templates yet again, I don't see the inherent value in adding this as well. If you want to ignore a thread, don't read it, don't click on it.

How about a drop down menu when you create a new thread that allows you to block certain users from reading it.
