Thanks for the comment Destroyeron. hackers have built tools that compromise capcha, generate fake e-mail addresses and then follow up with tools like mechanical turk where automation fails. If there are any VB experts out there that know how to solve this problem, we're all ears. After the first hand full of posts people don't get stuck in moderation.

If there was an easier way to get past that moderation limit that would be great. Like hey, you've identified I'm probably not going to try to sell you viagra, so you unmoderate me.

yap, it should be clear after a few posts, even a single post for some members should clarify it... It's very frustrating.

Here's an ideea: you can cross check the member information (id/email pair) with another (big) forum(s). For example I'm using the same pair on xda-developers, rootzwiki and a lot of other forums.

That would be too much work dlbogdan. (I know I do something like that already on my forum and I have no where near as many users join as here)

This system works just fine, new users just have to be patient.

Enforcer - dlbogdan has just offered to do the cross referncing - or that's how I read it.
Pass new registrations to dlbogdan and he'll return the name(s) with ok, spammer, or unknown to you within x days.

    Hi,

I've got a couple of threads going on at the moment and have responded to a few replies I've received.

But they haven't been approved/moderated for a few days now... I know this is due to me being a new member and have no problem with that... its just the time it's taking for them to be approved, don't like the thought of people thinking I've ignored their effort to reply and try to help is all!?!

Could a mod have a look and approve my replies if possible?
