I do liek the new section though. Although my "mystery gas" post has disappeared...

Maybe the sellars should contribute 1% of any sales made through the classified section until the amount is raised.

i personally hate the new section, it's something more for people to have to learn who aren't tech savvy. Plus we'll need a new forum now for like "deals" or something, for when people post things on ebay (that classified section doesn't support things like that) or when you just want to let everyone know of a sweet deal on a site, like the 20 dollar usb gps from geeks.com...

I don't think it's easier to use then ebay for non-tech people, ebay has giant help buttons and little tips explaining everything.

Considering I have been on this forum for 3 years and post maybe 40 times a year I doubt it will be seen much in my sig.

I could post it in general or OT but then people looking to buy something may not go in there, they specifically look in the for sale area for a gps and a post there would be easy to spot.

I was simply providing feedback--don't take it personally.

Aighty guys - here is the deal on the upgrade...there is no script to port over the current ads to the new upgraded classifieds system (the pay-for one).

Now I relaize that making the change to the new system was a headache for some. Making the change once more might upset some, but I think it will take care of 99% of the issues you are all complaining about.

Give me some feedback if you will.

I'm been dence here but why is the thread called Classifieds Section Closed and not Classifieds Section Open ?

And as far as paying for any add on - I firmly believe this is now upto the admin team and owners of the forum as they are a commercial venture.... a few years ago I would have donated... not now.

Traffic is generated by this forum which leads to sales on the main shop area ( not even counting SD ) and to ask us ( the users ) to donate under such circumstances is wrong.

I'm confused here. I'm not asking for any donations...

I, as an admin of these forums now, am asking the users oponions of this change.

I never once made any comment about donations...in fact, I'm debating paying for this out of my own pocket because I want to see things on this site go in a better direction. I won't be reimbursed for this. I'm not an owner of the company, I simply work here.

I'm just floored....where did you get the idea that I was asking for donations?

You do realize that many of the things that have happened behind the scenes aroung here are not the mods doing, or, for that matter, most of the admins doing? Why are you letting out all of your anger about the situation on the wrong people?
