UPDATE!
I have disabled the current system because I am going to be upgrading to the new system. This should take care of many of the issues that are being noticed.
I'll make a new post when the new system is up and running.
I'm sorry for the inconvience, but I think this should really be worth it.

In an effort to try and help our the members of this forum we have implemented a new classifieds system for the forum.
Up in the nav bar, next to the FAQs, you will find a "Classifieds" link.
Please use this new system when posting items for sale or items that you are looking to buy. There is also a free items category within this section as well, to take care of the free parts thread that's stickied in here.
As a way to help facilitate the transition, all new threads will be moderated. This means that your new threads will not be posted. Current sales that are in progress will continue on until finished.
This new system will allow for user feedback on buyers and sellers as well as keep items separated.
If you have any questions, please PM me and I'll be happy to answer them.

this setup with catagories looks much more sensible than trying to find particular items in threads. Nice work Jan.

Currently, I have the system set to use a predefined thumbnail size, but it's not holding.
I will go back through and downsize all images though so the page fits better.
EDIT: Images have been downsized.

What about trades? I notice you can only list as buy or sell. Perhaps you can add a "Trade" category.
Also, how does it work if a member sales/buy an item before the time period ends. What about if a user wants to extend the time or change the price. What type of options are displayed after an item is listed?
Should people list each item as a new ad or can we list multiple items in one ad?

You can close your own adds and reopen them as you see fit.Also, how does it work if a member sales/buy an item before the time period ends.
You can edit the add and change the time.What about if a user wants to extend the time or change the price.
If something hasn't sold after 2 months, then it's probably not going to sell and would be lost in the mix through the old method anyways.

New ad for each item. This gives you and the other individual the ability to earn the ratings you deserve for the multiple items you deal. OkWhy don't you just give it a try if you have something to sell?
How does it know which user actually was involved in the transaction? I did not see a place to enter to whom the item was sold to or bought from. What is to stop people from just entering feedback that they were not involved in?
How do you edit the time? Do you just reopen it when it closes after 24 hours. Edit: Missed the timeframe box, nevermind.
