My next generation Front End is right on schedule.
It will be done sometime in the next generation.

I am for hire!
good point oddy!
I might be just thinking out loud, but I'm looking for the thoughts of the administrators of this forum / purchaser's of this new classifieds software. I'm wondering if there are any restrictions with respect to selling. Specifically, are the classifieds meant to allow anyone to sign up and immediately start selling their components ? Or is it meant to be more of a facility for "active" forum members ? Perhaps it's a subtle combination of both ?
The reason I ask is because I've just checked out a few of the items in the new Classifieds section, and I've noted that a number of the items for sale are from members with a zero post count, and/or members with quite a recent join date. Naturally this won't instill great confidence in the buyers, as I'm sure most potential buyers would like to research their seller's posts etc before purchasing/negotiating.
So what do the admins think ? If a member buys from a "zero count / recent join" member, should they do so at their own risk ? Or should/would/could you entertain placing minimum post-count and/or minimum membership period's on these classifieds before someone can sell ?
Just so that we're clear, I'm certainly not trying to prevent members from legitimately selling their items. Note that with a sub-50 post count myself, it still says "Newbie" next to my name as well. Just raising a few thoughts with a view to increasing buyer confidence.
Just a question, which I know you might just have to relay to the developer...
Is there a feature to report a bad ad?
The reason I ask, "kolo1" (Ad #93) is obviously a spammer.
Also, I kinda liked the link in the top bar for the Classifieds. Now I have to click the main index, then classifieds. Yeah, I am lazy.
I tend to agree with odyssey. I thought the link at the top bar of the forums was good. I think it promotes people going to look at what is for sale due to the fact that people see the link at the top. Well it works on me.
Never let the truth get in the way of a good story
I don't want to offend anyone, but this new "system" of the classifieds is just plain horrible. The old way was MUCH better.
