Hey guys,

Well its getting close to meet time, you guys think we should start a list like we did last time so we know what kind of turn out to expect? I will definitely be there and this time I am probably bringing a different car with a brand new Intel ATOM Car PC system. I love this system pimarily because it boots from hibernation in about 15-20 seconds! Anyways I will save my excitement for the meet, hope to see you all there!

F^c%, well I hope I get my SSD by then, I may be able to beat that hibernation time even though my system is so big. I feel kind of stupid for not listening to Kimota and going with a SSD. i guess im just stubborn and scared to try things Im not use too. Anyways, i'll start the list.

Dude dont knock yourself for not getting an SSD, they are expensive only reason I have one is I got mine courtesy of work

Be carefull what type of SSD you buy they are definitely not all created equally, I'd recommend you buy your SSD from dvnation.com its all they pretty much sell and they only carry quality drives.

The one I bought is from Patriot, its the WARP v2. It had amazing reviews and I got it for $90.00 with shipping included. Infact, I think it will be here tommorrow. Thats why I hate USPS, no way to track anything.

AAAAHHHH!!! the lcd that john gave me fried too

Im having horrible luck with these things. Although its possibly because of connecting it straight to battery. I bought a carnetix so now I have wire it to the trunk so I have space and catch anything on fire.

Lok wat cpu did you get one yours? Im looking at the 330 atom is there any lag on your system?

Are you connecting it with the regulator and fuse? Why not connect it to the radio wire harness for power. I use the regulator and fuse that came with my lilliput.

Anyone willing to do a meet in the Treasure Coast area? I could find a park, and set it all up (already have a few places in mind; specifically the Vero Beach/Sebastian area)

Well the lcd's I had didnt have a regulator and the fuse was on the cigerette ligther power cord.

On the first lcd I cut the power cord so that the barrel connector goes to the lcd and the other i soldered wires to the ground and to battery this one lasted a month.

2nd lcd did the same but to cig lighter but this made me uncomfortable so I rewired to battery again but with a fuse but I cracked the lcd screen somehow in the process

the 3rd one was johns it needed a little trick to work and it reqired the motor to move a switch but the motor died on me and while I was trying to figure out that it was the motor the screen went black hasnt turned on since and to the garbage that one went too.

connecting it to radio harness? hmmm never heard of that going to read up on that.

My plan now is to do it the right and hard way im going to have the pc setup in the trunk and have nexson make the shell of the case for me and have the lcd and laptop powered by the carnetix power supply. That will be after I paint the car though

My understanding is if you want a meet, you have to post details on where to have it. This one will be in Miami, but if you post your details the next one could be there.
