New England Meet: May 2009

Alright Gents. So today was a good day. Went to the park for about half of the day today with the wifey and it was nice. Peaceful, can't complain for the most part. I have to call them again to see if they are opening the weekend before memorial day. The parking for the park is still closed, but the boat ramp is actually open. Parking was quite abundant at the boat ramp. At least 100 cars. The park is a short walk away where they have a good amount of picnic tables, charcoal grills, fields, beaches, and if anyone's got a boat there,s a boat ramp, rentals available, and also fishing. Talked to a few boaters there and they say there's a few nooks and cranny's that got some small fish, forgot the names but yea you get the picture. I'd like this place but its up to you guys as well. If we choose this place and to eat here, we might need to figure out foods and stuff, whereas if we went to jordans we could pick from the many restaurants around the area. The park is literally less than 5 minutes away from jordans. I have most of the grilling stuff and some charcoal I'm looking to get rid of, just need to grab a few burgers/buns/condiments/etc. Most of the utensils, napkins, plates, garbage bags I have a good amount of and I'm looking to get rid of the 500 plastic plates for a good cause lol. So yea let me know what ou guys think.

Ok, here are my thoughts given the lack of posts in the last couple of days-

Stick to Jordan's parking lot for this weekend, move to the other for the next one and do a cookout.

Sounds like the park will be a MUCH nicer place to hang out, so thanks for checking it out.

I'm in agreement with Roger as far as this weekend, plus this way for the next one I'd have time to whip up a batch of my chili

Yep, 2 PM this saturday in the Jordan's parking lot.

Thanks to ViViper1 we re going to change things slightly though-

We'll meet up and hang out at Jordan's for an hour or so (to allow time for late arrivals) and then have an MP3Car parade over to the new spot where we will do a small cookout.

it would be good to have an idea of how many people will be showing up for food, and who will bring what.

I'll try and take up the slack for any items not accounted for that we need for a basic cookout.

Just came across this as I'm moving to boston soon, turns out I'm moving on the same day as this meet, but I hope you get some good weather and things go well ... well enough to have a second meet! and then I'll see you there!

Okay, you know I'm coming. And my wife might come along this time as well. I can bring a few boxes of soda just tell me what kind. I don't have a cooler, so a cooler and ice would be something someone could bring.

And I can now say that we will have a drawing for a little "lot prize" (similar to a door prize but in a parking lot, of course) for one lucky person.

Just need to hope for good weather saturday now!

Cant wait! I just macgyvered a sorta-kinda housing for my oem LCD and we'll see if I can get her in the car tonight.. you guys are gonna laugh your asses off.. because I sure am

Either way this will be the rig's maiden voyage.
