Wow! Thank you!
Hey kids, can't make a car PC meetup? Don't live near anyone else? Check in on the Rochester, NY meetup LIVE at 1pm Eastern Daylight time, (1700 UTC). We'll try to stream live video of the installs and anything interesting or unusual that we find at the meetup.
Streaming will be via the mp3car.com sponsored iPhone using the QIK app.
Location to view live is: http://www.qik.com/bugbyte
Just to set expectations - there's only going to be a couple of us! This is Rochester, NOT New York City, after all. But, it will be a fun experiment to try some bleeding edge technology to cover car computing. And, at the very least, you'll get a tour of the iBug and the desperately sad shape my current install is in!
We'll try to keep the camera jitter to a minimum and move from one topic to another smoothly so there's not a ton of boring stuff in between but we're not pros, so cut us some slack!
If you miss the live streaming, you can still go to the link above and watch the recorded stream.
See you at the Rochester meet!

Wow! Thank you!
Hopefully you all have less smack talk than the DC meet :P
I'll check it out after it goes up sometime, be interesting to see.

Just a shame I can't justify a carpc to use it on anymore.
I watched the DC feed but it was just a fixed camera, no narration!

CRAP! I wish I'd have known about this! I will be down for the next meet, I was at Turning Stone from like 2-10 today and had no clue there was a meet so close to home. I live right in Henrietta!
Someone PM me about the next one!![]()
Looks like I closed the QIK streaming app before it was done uploading all the video. I ran it today and it uploaded the rest. The whole thing is about 10 minutes long.
1. Linux ICE and nGhost running on a laptop - narration by Red Parchel
2. My install
3. Strikeback03's nice RSX install. Clean.
Thanks to mp3car for giving up some T-shirts for the gang and also for giving us a mini USB keyboard for a give-away!
