It looks like we have 3 more vendors signing on later this week and several people flying or driving in from all over the country.
I think we are going to send an e-mail to everyone in the area who has bought from our store in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, DC, Delaware, West Virginia, New York and North Carolina to invite them out for a free BBQ with the mp3car team and their partners.
We are also going to do a prize pack for the best cars. The rules haven't been announced yet, but some items in the prize pack will be A Lilliput DVI monitor (not publicly available yet), Centrafuse, Scantool, other car computing hardware, mp3car t-shirts and general swagage.
If you haven't signed up for a free ticket, please do so now.
We are excited to welcome three new atendees to our August waterfront event in Baltimore.
Scantool - OBD, engine diagnostic, and scan tool experts
Mo-co-so.com - Philadelphia based Mini-ITX store
Westminister Speed And Sound - Mobile electronics and performace experts, expereienced car computer installers.
Meetup Contest: The best cars at the event will get prize packs donated by Centrafuse, Scantool, Lilliput, Mo-co-so and mp3Car. Details will be anounced later in the week. Talk about this on our forums.

I've only seen pimp-my-ride once (and that was enough :p), but do they have a "tech" guy or at least the guy that does all the crazy screens or wirings? Or is that who the audio guy is? Just wondering...
I think Cabe did a lot of the tech stuff. He installed centrafuse on Rock the Boat. Mark miller will also be a great technical reasource. He has done tons of car comptuer installs as well.

Yes I am the one that put in all the "crazy" screens and the audio systems. Did quite a few computers in the cars and on the boats but they never got any real airtime. It takes to much time to show all the things a computer can do so they usually just got cut out on the editing floor. Plus 90% of the general public wouldnt have a clue as to what we were talking about. Most people dont know how cool it is and convenient it is to have a computer setup in there vehicle.
Anyway if your wanting to know if I'm "techy" you could say that. I have been building cars for 18 years and if its DC voltage I have probably cut it up took it apart and put it where it wasnt supposed to go.

Ya I hear that all the time but in there defense the age group or "demographic" for the show was 12 to 18 yrs. old. Thats why they had us all talk like someone was squeezing our nuts. It makes kids more at ease than listening to a bunch of deep voiced mechanics. Thats also why we never showed anything to technical, it was all visually impressive and made people talk which is why the show was popular. Even if you made fun of the show you were still talking about it. Publicity is publicity, good or bad.:shake:
P.S.-I only used the smiley cause I thought the bouncing boobs were cool. LOL
