Anyone have any ideas for a good place to meet, that won't consider us loitering. Sounds like we have people all over the place. Oxnard, LAX, Inland Empire, Orange County.

Well, what do you guys do at a meetup? I've never actually been to a car-related meetup; do you mostly sit in and around your cars, or do you go inside a bar and enjoy an adult beverage, with laptops?

I'm not kidding that I don't really know what's involved; I posted a new thread asking if someone knowledgeable can create a sticky as guidelines. But if anyone else wants to throw in their .02, I'm more than open to it.

Of course, I saw one guy in this thread that's in Playa Del Rey. For want of some good places that I know perosnally, there's a good public carpark and park down there, right by the Shack and that Italian restaurant.

Okay this thread has gone on long enough without a meet. Since no one else has, I would like to propose an informal meet on June 12 at Portillo's in Buena Park for early afternoon say 2 or 3pm so you can go do regular Saturday night stuff. This is a Chicago style hot dog and Italian Beef restaurant with excellent food. Of course they serve really great Burgers and salads as well. This is at the Buena Park shopping mall. It is far north Orange County so is pretty central to the LA / Orange county area.

This will be informal. Good food. Check out each others cars and PC set ups.

Let me know if you are interested. This will happen even if it is just 2 or 3 participants, and as long as work does not throw a wrench.

I might be interested in a meet. if for nothing else then to give me a reason to leave the IE. Unfortunately, my work schedule currently has me every weekend. With any luck, that will change in the next month or so, leaving me EVERY weekend free (what a pleasant change THAT would be).
