How many cars are typically on display? (This will be my first year.)
Sorry for the delay, you guys asked for stats:
mp3Car AFK Fest 2010 Car, Trade and Demo Show Aug 21, 2010 Live 86/320
mp3Car's AFK Fest 2010 Morning Speaker Series Aug 21, 2010 Live 14/70
I get the sense we will have more people in the AM than just this. Soon buying the burgers and bagels - some anyone who forgot...get your tiks now.
Should be a good weekend.

Okay guys, I'm coming down. Looking to see my "buds" Malcom and Trip.
Just got back from AFK Fest. This was a my first event and as newbie, I had a great time. Everyone was very welcoming and I got to see some awesome setups.
Just wanted to thank the mp3Car.com staff and sponsors for putting on such a cool event.
I've got a lot of work to do do get my system in shape for next year's event.
Just got back home myself.. Thank you to all the sponsors, Mp3car, and all the guys that showed up to show there cars off. No matter how long you've been doing this you always learn something new when you see other peoples stuff

Still haven't made it home yet but, as always, a ton of fun thanks to a great group of people!!
I again will put in a word of thanks to the Mp3Car.com folks for graciously hosting, organizing, providing space, feeding us, etc, etc, etc!!
It seemed to my untrained eye that we had at least twice as many cars this year as last year. All we need to do now is figure out how we can double it again next year!
We should start by getting the word out on the forums to the folks that didn't come this year because they thought it "wasn't worth their while". Guys...it is!!

Oh wow, I just made it back from Baltimore. I had to "floss" a little since it was my first time in the vicinity...
And I just wanna say how greatly appreciative I am at the community I'm a part of. When I drove in, I literally came in from work, with my brother at the wheel, and my CarPC in general disarray...
When I left, my MACry guided us both home! Furthermore, after making new acquaintances and seeing some of the designs that people did, I have been invigorated to keep tweaking my system. Right now, I'm still in shock that after $8 well spent, I got the machine back up and running...
In any case, many thanks to all that came and gave me words of wisdom, and I hope to get more involved next year!!
Thanks a lot for a great time. Congrats again to the winners.
Definitely a good time and thanks to mp3car for sponsoring it! It was great to meet people in person and discuss a bit with them.
The new iPad install was well received and I'm glad it worked well. Although the iPad isn't necessarily the ultimate computer, and some would argue that it isn't one at all, I'm very satisfied with it as my newest car pc.
As for the connected car demo, we did eventually get it working, but not until the end. Still, it was good to discuss the ideas with everyone and exchange ideas about it. Thanks to tripzero, nextabyte_Matt, and PaulF for their help in the demo.
