Well a few weeks before the meet at Santa pod (which a few of us attended) in april I wrote my car off, and managed to get a new one and fit the car pc in time (in a kind of ghetto way, at least)Originally Posted by mutilator

i broke my carpc when i was finishing it off ready for the santapod meet :S haha.
errm i gettin rid of my 53mini cooper, cus my mate wants it.. i got a 54 cooper convertable on order for this dec, so im thinkin of just gettin a lil susuki jeep to run round in, like C reg or somethin.. till i get the new mini. as for that mini, i only ordered it cus the waiting list is as long as your arm so i might make a bob or 2, so who knows what ill be drivin march next year (im lookin at: mini cooper S works, Seat Leon Cupra R, and nissan skyline) i think the works and the skyline are a bit daft so it will probly be the cupra (with a few engine mods) heh. i did look at mr2/mr2 turbo but wasnt impresed by what i heard about reliability.
tom.
MR2s are pretty damn reliable (so are supras) - though there are a few knackered turbos around for obvious reasons. Don't know where you heard anything bad about reliability, it's more making sure you haven't bought one that's been bent round a lamppost. Just a bit small inside.Originally Posted by mutilator

well i heard from a few people thta they are bags of fun, but often have problems, which id expect from a car of that age i guess. as for the mr2 turbos i driven my mates, and it was fun, but since then its had all sorts of problems, ended up with new clutch, gearbox, turbo and an engine rebuild i think. heh kinda puts me off since my last year with the mini didnt cost me anything bar insurance, (free servicing, high resale).
the seat leon cupra R is a hell of a car, i test drove one recently, 1.8 turbo, id say with 1.5k under the bonnet youd be in the reigon of 300+bhp they drive real nice, and have most of the extras in for the base price of 15k (i think its 15 anyways), compared to the likes of a civic type R which is a similar price, it has way more stuff in its spec, although its slightly slower, also feels a lot higher quality than the civic (+i dont like the civic incase you hadnt guessed hehe)
