it's website is: http://www.billingaquadrome.com
Some of use (Including me, StevieG and Cloudy (James Warner) are going down on the Saturday 25th for about 6PM. We'll be putting up a couple of tents, making a barbeque and consuming a few beers. Everyone who want to come down then is more than welcome!
On the Sunday the 26th September it's the 'meet'. We'll be starting around 10am-ish. The plan is to have a good look and demonstation of everyone's set up and those that haven't installed yet can ask those that have questions, and we'll be filming some of it and taking pictures for the web site.
After that we'll be setting up a LAN game, perhaps some 'GPS treasure hunting' and maybe watching a movie. More to come!
Costs
£12 to stop over Saturday 25th, £5 to come on the Sunday. Pay on the gate of Billing Aquadrome. That's not paying us, that's just the entry costs into Billing.
The Date
Sunday 26th September 2004
Beer and BBQ the night before for those stopping over.
StevieG and I are putting together what we hope to be the largest meet in the UK so far,
picking a proper venue ( not a car park ) and organising various events, competitions and challenges for the whole day. Not to mention the interest we allready have from magazines who are interested in coming along....
the usual problem arose of how to keep track of when everyone is free, who is coming and where to have the meet. stevie came to the rescue with a fully featured web application to arrange the whole thing!
you can access the UK meet pages here:
http://www.digital-car.co.uk/forum/ukmeetmap.php
please login to the digital-car forums first ( www.digital-car.co.uk/forum ) - as your user ID is used to identify you on the system. If you are not registered it only takes a few minutes - so please take the time :D
More details will be avaliable nearer the time, but all we need you to do for the moment is to let us know where you are and what dates you can make - cheers
Let everyone know and let's make this a really good meet

come on southerners lets get it further down here :D
-
Come on manchester people sign up and pull it up north!
In the next few days it will weight towards where most people are so if 10 ppl in london sign up and only 5 in manchester/birmingham etc it will be closer to london!!!

Changed the program that works things out.
If someone isn't definately commited to coming to the meet (the red ones) then they aren't taken into consideration when working out the location.
Also if someone isn't definately committed to coming then the program won't put those dates down as definate no-nos either.
Be good if everyone can definately come though!
