Not a problem - hope you had a great break! I haven't really done anything productive - except pick up my new car today! So - I will be starting all over again with the installation.Quote:

Currently in testing phase of the carputer setup in a 5.0L EF Falcon. All installed and working just having a god-awful time with an S-Video to composite 'issue'. Working thru a list of options, worse case scenario is a new vid card w/ TV out. Specs of the system are as per signature.
Got plenty of pics but they're all on the mobile. Will snap a few with the digicam and get them uploaded into the finished section.
ladies?? i'm not sure if there are female members here, never met any since '99... but i could be wrong, that would be interesting :DQuote:

Count me in, im from Brisbane. I thnk a site for australian Mp3car fans would be a great idea, if someone was willing to make it happen.
I been a mp3car junkie for about 4 years now. Ran this system for the last 3 years:
MP3car || win95b || P90 || 32MB EDO || 512k ISA VGA || 4.3GB Quantum || SMC EtherEZ NIC || Soundblaster 16 ISA || Custom IR control || custom DC-DC power supply || Aux. Input hacked Pioneer DEH-P4050
Currently building a new system with ATX / liliput touchscren / mediaengine to be installed in the next few months
...there is already one, and if you browse back thru this thread you'll find the link.Quote:

Dragging up an oldish thread here. Im from Adelaide and im looking into installing a rather simple, yet intergrated system into my 1997 Fairmont. Im looking to having it hooked up to my stereo (3way front active stage, 2xHCCA 12's, powered by Orion XTR amps.) and possably intergrated with TWEECER, for modifying the EEC5 system.
Just thaught id pop my head up here. I notice a few handels from other forums, naimly FF and FM's.

1. planning stage (where I'm at now)
2. pc and software stage (get everything ready for the pc box, strip xp and obtain software)
3. in car stage (get the lcd touch screen, and dc2dc ps, and put everything in the car)
4. gps (looking into getting suitable and cheap gps software, and gps receiver.)
