There are always problems. Just go to a Melbourne meet and a lot of you questions will be answered.

    Hey
I'm New around here. It dosnt necessarly mean i'm new to carputers, nor ne to electronics.
by trade i am a electronics tecnician, dealing with computers, so i've alwayds planned to put a carputer in my first car, so here i am.

I'm a little ishy, i ordered a dynamix 8" 16x9 lcd touchscreen from america, and it came the other day, i'm just having problems getting it associate with my computer, its not workingproperly. i am not looking forward to sending it back to america.
the problem i am having is that only the bottem and sides were working, the then sent me revised drivers but now the sides wont work, which leads me to beleive that it is software associated apposed to hardware, s there is a little bit of hope.

Well I'm an Aussie, my car pc hardware just arrived in the mail today, and I just signed up to the forum. I've been researching car PCs for a few weeks now, and being someone with a lot of experience with computers I have naturally become very interested in the car PC scene.
    Nice to meet y'all.

been working on the whole setup for a few months now... thats including the rockford fibreglass system, car puter and everything else... just mounted the pc on the weekend and the lilliput is nearly in the dash...

btw i got my lilliput incl shipping for 299 so stuff paying an extra 150 + for a xenarc... as for screens and parts etc, ive found that ebay is still the best... just search "7 touch" searching worldwide... brings up a fair bit... 7 being the size of the screen :P

ill post up pics of the install at some point

....just joined up, from Sydney, out West. Panda is responsible for my being here. Saw his post about his Carputer on an Aussie forum and have been reading and researching since. I have a '99 Ford AU and would like to replace the standard dbl din system with a 'puter of my own. Still a long way to go, a lot of reading and learning, but I think I'm hooked on the idea now. I have a laptop sitting around not doing very much that I'm thinking about using. I Would like to wire up a docking station in the car so I can attach and remove the 'puter when I want to for any reason.

....anyway, enough of an intro. I'll just keep reading and see where it leads...

    Cheers All....
