...yes Pandaman, you DO have a lot to answer for. Just spent the entire weekend (well almost) reading and researching. The missus is not too happy with the time I've spent on this. I told her this was only the tip of the iceberg.
Cheers All.....
and what a very big iceberg, hope you have lots of spare time. good luck mate
....no such thing as 'spare time'....but I will try and fit my 'education' in between power naps.....
I just have a Holden Rodeo. Im in Perth and I installed my laptop into my car mainly for GPS applications via a touchscreen. I go 4wdriving a lot and GPS is a really handy way of making it around. I also like the fact I can have the net where ever I can get a wireless connection and unlimited music and vids also. I don't know a hell of a lot about all the carpc stuff but seeing some of the stuff on here there is loads of info. Maybe when I get more time to myself I may get into learning and creating applications myself that others might find handy themselves but at the moment that won't be for a long time.
just wondering how many people here are from Adelaide as I myself am, iv never in the flesh seen anyone else's carputer, not that mines in yetbut getting there. Just curious....
yep
count me in lol

Hey dudes,
Currently building Mac Mini to go in the new car. Been having fun trying to get radio to work as I bought Radioshark 2 not 1.
Other than that is has been fun particually considering I am running BootCamp.
I am very impressed so far with the Mac Mini, the sound in produces is supurb. Pity this is no a nice Front End and GPS solution for OSX.
Will eventually be installing in 2007 Nissan Navara DC.
Cheers Firebird.
