ah, fair enough, just thought i would put my two cents in, and i just realised, how the hell are you supposed to turn off the PC if it freezes up or glitches? in my setups i just put a momentary button in the dash, i mean how lazy do you want to get dude?! its one button

As i mentioned above this will D/C The power from the PC it will do a soft shutdown then 2mins later it will d/c the power so if it freezes then it will be turned off anyway.

Thats how i have mine to but it takes 30secs for mine to come out of hibernation so it be nice for it to start stright away it's not a lazy factor.

Hell if u can get my startup time down to 10secs i wouldnt need this.

But the main thing for this is to have the pc on while the car's off for a short amount of time so you don't have to keep starting and stopping cause it gets annoying when you gotta wait 30sec for the pc to hibernate then get out drop off something then start it back up.

Thats not quick at all most people o the board have it between 5sec and 20secs.

I'm using a mini ITX and cause it's a 600mhz it might be why it's a tad slower than the 1.2ghz at hibernating.

Also it all depends on the amount of ram you have the smaller the ram the less hibernation takes up.

I put in 256mb instead of 512mb and it hibernates faster than 512mb.

You sound like u should have this device but your not hibernating why?

    No thats standby

Hibernation copys the data on the ram to the HDD then shuts the pc down when you start back up again it loads the ram from the hdd back into ram so it starts up windows exactly with what you had.

saves time and doesn't waste any power.

You my friend are gonna love it cause your boot up and shutdown times will be quicker
