I'll try to make it, but can't be sure how long I can stay because I need to study for class. I don't have anything to show other than a 6.5"x4" hole cut into my dash for the LCD since the rest is still on a workbench awaiting completion of a power source and bondo for the screen. If I do come, I will make potato salad (it's really really good). A batch is about a gallon... hope that's enough.

Myself, girlfriend, and roomate will all be there. Will bring some undetermined side dish and can a 12 pack or two of soda.

If anyone that is coming to the meet is going to bring a friend then please post so i get enough meat for everybody.

I am going to be bringing my girlfriend and possibly my brother (same guy who came last time)

i can make some mean bean dip. it looks like throwup, but tastes AWESOME. i'll bring that, some tortilla chips, and some soda. is beer allowed?

oh, and a friend or two of mine MIGHT be coming. no worries on accomodating them, cuz im not sure if theyll be there or not.

and why are we doing it so late?

bean dip sounds awesome.

Whoever is bringing soda please bring it in a cooler with some ice. There is nothing worse than warm soda.

The reason why we are doing it later is becasue:
1. It is summer and it is hot
2. Since it is summer days last longer. it should be light out until 8
3. This way we get to see day/night views of peoples setups
4. We all know the lilliputs/xenarcs don't perform that well in the sun
5. We want to have it at a meal time and breakfast was too early, Lunch is too hot.

I don't see why you cant bring beer. I am not sure if everyone is 21 or older. I think most people are. If you do you are responsible for it but i don't see any reason. Last time there was a couple kids but its not like they are going to be unsupervised

thanks for the quick answer antimatter. i'll be there. is anyone bringing a big cooler i could stick sodas/beer in? i dont have one, being only 23 and just moved into an apartment in hayward.

and if the screens dont do well in sun, can they be used at ALL during the day? are there better screens for daytime use? should i just ask at the meet? haha. i will have a LOT of questions being the n00b i am.

oh, and just in case anyone cares im a graphic/web designer for lawrence livermore labs. i been doing it for a while on my own. just got a job here. if anyone needs any graphic/web things done, i'm your man. peace.
