I'll be back in Arkansas this August, my grandparents live like 2-3 hours from Ruston, I'm tossing my hat in if you need any extra help on a local level.

What about a scavenger hunt around the area using our GPS systems to navigate us...for example everyone gets the same set of waypoints to plot and then off you go to pick up something at each location...first one back gets a prize of some sort...

Like anyone who comes hasn't learned to search... we wouldve all been so discouraged by the flamers we wouldnt even be doing this.
But hey... maybe theres more to learn than I know.
I really like Shelbrain's idea for the scavenger hunt. Could be interesting.

Amatuer radio operators have a similar hunt, where a transmitter is hidden in a country side, and the first to find it wins.

Just a bit of a parallel.

I think a basic electricity course should be given:Ohm's law, gauge tables, importance of fuses, etc.

I would gladly teach it, have a few controlled expirements, like 10 amps through a 22 gauge wire

Scavenger hunt is a great idea. Need xBrady's live tracking running for each team member and a giant projector so you can see where the teams are and follow it in real time at the meet.

Also, need to make sure we have wireless AP at the site. All "official" broadcasts of blogs, photos, webcam ought to be made from one of the cars at the meet or while mobile.

Get a website, get some sponsorship via commercials, etc. This is gonna be a lot of work, you know. I'll bet you're going to have to set up some kind of small company to deal with the cash and the payments. They probably have meeting organization companies that help with this stuff but that drives the price up.
