    Seattle

I know there is a car show going on now (may be late notice) but also with Seafair going on we should do a quicky meet somewhere. I may be going in to Seafair to capture some of the new Chev's on Camera and would love to see some self-installed and running carPCs!!!

Anyone else interested in something simple, meet for a coffee kinda thing =P

We had a rather abortive meet recently. If you want to come and checkout my system in Bellevue sometime, you are more than welcome. I am pretty free this weekend, if you would like to come and see it.

Speaking of bellevue you have anywhere you would reccomend for window tinting and/or paint job? The reason I say speaking of bellevue the local Issaquah CarToys reccomended Bellevue Auto-Tint but schucks pointed out they may be doing that on a comission system so IE I don't know who to trust lol.

The mechs at the Lithia dealer in Issy gave me a card to who they have used for tint and highly reccomended it, but it sounds like a bigger deal, they come pick your car up and have it for most the day, etc. etc. Seems not only less convienant but more expensive (thats the key issue lol).

Paint I gotta look more into, I was reading that if I do the bodywork myself and buy the decent coat at Maaco it actually won't be too bad, that Maaco fails in the bodywork part of the paintjob. Not sure I have the patience to strip my entire car down to metal though! lol, but screw the patience and time factor if that ends up saving me thousands of dollars lol.

Anyway, so, any recomendations? If I am going to be in bellevue soon I may hit you up on that, I've only seen lame 'ol OEM 'puters so far, haven't seen the real deal in action.

I had my windows tinted recently in Lynnwood by Prestige Window Tinting, and the guy did an AWESOME job! He runs the company, and does all cars himself. Was even nice enough to let me sit in the installation bay and watch him do the whole car, we chit chatted and stuff, passed the time faster for both of us. I can give you his contact info if you'd like, PM me if interested. For my 94 Accord, he charged me $180. I did 20% all around. He has other tints available as well.

don't go with maaco...ever. To do a whole car usually cost 1200 to 1500 for a normal paint job. Maaco charge less than 500, see a different??? and that doesn't include bodywork, if your car need bodywork, than it have to be prime, which would cost more. I can give you more reasons why not to choose maaco, if you want.
