Iíll bring both and show you. I think you will find they are pretty much the same in terms of brightness. This isn't 2004 and Lilliput has come a long way in the past year. Iíll show you both and let you be the judge I think you will be surprised.

Yes please do. You'll learn a lot and gather many ideas for your project in a short amount of time.

I'm down to come... Woohoo!!! I'm all excited about it already.
This will be my first time seeing & feeling other people's CarPCs, since I've never really seen anyone's but mine.
On a second thought, I did see one Carputer installed in a convertible Corvette at the L.A. Auto Show in Jan '05.
(They wouldn't let me touch anything though).
I even found the pic I took:

For Sale: Carputer (CarPC) & RCA Y-Adapter
Newsflash: Take a look at my unsold stuff above, thanks!
Up Next: Make an OBD to Serial cable & Redo the "MMI buttons"

    Okay guys/girls.
Irvine is IN OC. Depend on where you prefer to. It could be 0 miles or 30 miles. So saying it is 9miles away is ... duhhhhh.
There are couple place that around I would suggest.
    1) Irvine Spectrum. That is where the I5 and I405 meet and about < 10 miles south of John Way airport (SNA) on I405. This place is BIG but currently they are under construction so parking is a little yuck for such a big group and probably security peps will bother us. During daytime (in the afternoon) parking is okay, but not after the sun is gone.
    2) The Block. That is where most the freeways intersect (I5, CA22, CA57, CA55 is not far away). This place is also a RICE hangout place. Usually parking is a little worst compare to Irvine Spectrum, but during the day is okay. Again, security pep doesn't like big group gathering.
    3) Ikea parking in Costa Mesa/Fountain Valley. This one got a HUGE parking lot. Normally it is pack on the weekend but there are always empty spot to accomodate all of us. Now with such a big group, I am not sure if IKEA will welcome us or not cuz they can kick us out at anytime if some dickless doesn't like us and complain.
    4) Bolsa Chica State Beach. It is on PCH/CA1 between Warner BLVD and Golden West Street. Yes, it is by the ocean, and I don't know if mother nature is happy with us during that time. You pay 5 or 7 buck all day per vehicle to get in the park. Local guys who has anual pass get in for free . No I don't have one. Once in there you can do anything you want except alcoho.

Okay, am I gona go to this meet? 99% is NOT likely. I would love to go but it's the WRONG time for me. For the next 3 or 4 months I don't think I can go anywhere for more than 1/2hr.
