this is slightly off topic but is the meet only once a year? cause i get my car in 4 months, so I wouldn't be able to go to this year's meet, but I would still like to attend one before next July

I dont think so... I think its more or less whenever everybody decides to see eachother... There was one just last month, and here we go again with another one.... Isnt it great?

We have them as often as we feel like it.

Why don't you show up to this one regardless of your vehicle status? It's not liek you'd be forbidden. We all enjoy showing off our setups and tinkering, tweaking, etc.

It's cool to see so many people in the area into this. I am only in the preliminary planning stages, possibly going to hold out for the Epia EX mobo. It would be awesome to see the setups from you guys with experience but I will be out of town that week

And THAT is the biggest reason for a n00b to show up. To get ideas and stuff for their build. There's only so much you can get from a picture and/or description. Gettin eyeball & hands on somethin sometimes makes all the difference

Yeah, I can throw together a PC with my eyes closed but putting one in a car with the special powering requirements for starters makes it a whole other animal. Then there's the dash kit modding (Metra Turbo Kit), planning to mount a slimline optical drive in the lower pocket and possibly some sort of extension if the flip up touch screen doesn't clear the upper curve of the dash. The stereo I have in there now seems to sit too far in.

Yeah seriously if you can make it then go ahead! My carputer system is just in varying states of disarray with pieces scattered all over my room. Drives my girlfriend ape****, but oh well. 4pm sounds good to me. I'm looking forward to meeting y'all!
