I've got it on my calendar, but I'm not 100% sure I'll be able to make it. Would like to check it out, though.

Crap, I thought I was already subsrcibed to this thread.....
My opinion is my own.
I have it on my calender too.
My project hit a major speed bump recently when they discontinued the MOBO I had finally settled on... so I need ideas (suggestions) again.
How much do you want to spend? My current board is the best I have tried. I would say the best I have ever seen (and I used to build computers). Previous boards were Jetway: J7F2 2ghz, J7F5 2ghz, J9F2 2.33ghz dual core. All 3 only had 3 audio ports, 5 if you count the front 2 with it. This limits line in's.
My current board, the Kino 9452 is an industrial board, apparently made for the restaurant/bar application. It can run dual video streams and can run 2 separate audio streams at the same time. It has built in noise/echo cancellation, built in GOOD video (can run SD visualizations at 100FPS without a hiccup), 8.1 surround capable, 8 audio ports (4 of which can be line in/mic), 8 USB ports, 4 Serial ports (1 of which is 14 pin), meaning you can run DTR amp control on SP1, Mitch's Visteon cable on sp3, and obdII on sp4 and STILL have one left. The board even has a "mini" fusion brain inside. 4 programmable in/out 5v pins. It's also S3 capable. Internal wireless is mini-PCI, not USB.
Temperature isn't a real issue either. I've had the system up to 200F for 3-4 hours and it never skipped a beat!
Now the bad part. The board runs close to $300 (without a CPU), but everything is onboard, so no need for soundcard or video card. That brings the cost to a more affordable level. In the picture, you will see I am using a pci usb board. That's why it's taken apart for the pictures. I'm testing the PCI USB because I can't find anything else to do with the PCI slot.
It runs core solo and core duo processors.

Here's a picture of the back panel.
I'm trying to talk Chris over at mo-co-co.com into building these commercially as a high end system.
My opinion is my own.
As for the case, I haven't seen anyone else really show off this one. It's a Casetronic C137 case. You can see in the picture there is a place to mount the M2-ATX supply (the holes are already there, no drilling, just need the standoffs). And once the internal power supply is removed, it's a perfect place to mount the HQCT radio. it sits on top of an IDE CF card reader.
The DVD mounts over the motherboard, and the PCI USB card mounts over the harddrive.
While it is wider than most cases, it's a lot shorter, making it small enough to fit under a seat.
My opinion is my own.
