    I had similar noise issues installing in my Infiniti G35 w/ BOSE. I needed to add a gain control adapter to get it to work right:

    Are you sure it doesn't work. Unlike the other leds, its not a very bright light. You won't see it at all unless you look directly at it.

    Spiro,

    Would it not be better to use an external soundcard if your hooking up to external amps?

    absolutely, but I didnt have one and I thought Id give it a shot without one.

    thanks god_of_cpu i didnt have one handy and was anxious to try it I already ordered one as per your suggestion but im afraid the noise will still be there
    At the end one way or the other I will make it work and post back.

    Perhaps you should try hooking up a spare speaker to your G4 and bypass the amp. Only of course if you have a spare speaker or 2 laying around. That would help you troubleshoot the problem.

    thanks voidunknown, I ordered a crutchfield adapter and when I install it I will test out your method as well, Ive been lazy
