is there a public bug tracking/fix list?

Hi,
I am so ready to get a G4. My alpine is dead and I need some tunes

But I've chatted with a couple of owners here on the board and I get the feeling that the G4 is kind of a work in progress with some of these issues people are having.
I'm at the point in my life where I just want stuff to work. The exciting world of Beta testing are behind me.

so I'm wondering if we can see the list of bugs that people are reporting and the status of fixes.

For example, the GPS lockup is keeping me from buying the G4 for now.
The inability of the Radio to send to all 4 channels of the roadie is another.
Not resuming the same song on restart... etc...

I know some of these have been answered in some of the scattered posts, but everyday I go to check on this so that I can buy a G4, but I need to know that GPS lockup, at the very least, is verified fixed, etc...

The G4 is powered by StreetDeck.

The StreetDeck support forums can be found here on the forum under the Software forum.

The current public release is 1.0.8.1, the current beta release is 1.0.9.5 (for private beta testers). Just to give you an idea on how quickly the developers are trying to get issues resolved.

Please tell us where we can download the latest PUBLIC release of 1.0.8.4

I don't seem to see it listed in the Streetdeck forum.

The current public release is 1.0.8.1, not 1.0.8.4.

It was a simple typo. A simple mistake.

I'd suggest subscribing to this thread to be informed of the newest releases:

I doubt it will be of much help as it applies to SD in ALL installations as well as the G4. There ought to be a separate forum for just G4 issues but that is not the case.

I'd be wary of purchasing a G4 for now as I have had many questions I asked about it unanswered when it first went on sale. In fact I'm surprised it's on sale at all if you can't even get FM radio to work correctly with the given solution they sell it with if you want to use an external AMP.

I currently use a T3 and it is still quite difficult to get it to work correctly and it's already been discontinued by the store here.

Although the all-in-one solutions seems like a nice way to go I feel they are still a way off from being the solution they promise to be.

I would give RoadRunner a chance, Its the front end running on my system and It works perfect all the time. I would put my system stability on par with OEM or any aftermarket units. Indeed buy the G4, its a nice PC but first thing I would do with it is format and start fresh with the software.

With other front ends, you will not be able to tap into the built in AM/FM tuner, etc due to the drivers being propritary.

vitaminR - there are very few issues that are G4 specific. Generally, if people are running into issues, it's a SD issue, not isolated to the G4 StreetDeck install.
