GM On Star and the Infill G4

I was trying to price some of the installation pieces I might need before I placing an order (wiring harness, trim kit, etc) and I got a response from a dealer stating that installing an aftermarket stereo will render the On Star unusable as well as the warning chimes (e.g. door open, key in ignition, etc) in my 2007 Saturn Vue.

Does anyone here know if this is true, or if the G4 addresses that? If it is true, does this apply to all GM On Star equipped vehicle? I don't care much for On Star, but I don't think my wife would like me crippling all of teh safety chimes.

Thanks for the great link, it is encouraging to know that these exists for many other GM vehicles, unfortunately mine is not among them. But at least I know what to be searching for. If anyone beats me to it, feel free to post it here for all to see...

After a few weeks, finally found the part I need. Thought I'd post it here for anyone else searching. It is a Merta GMOS-LAN-06 . I'd link directly to the product, but i could not find it on their website, but they did email me a .pdf that describes the product.
