I have been reading about the bios settings and, yes, you can set the system thermal to lower your CPU rate when the CPU reaches a certain temperature. The CPU probably does this on its own without that setting enabled, but if you wanted to set it to a lower level you could. This would help for people that think their system is crashing due to temperature of the CPU. I am trying to make a digitalmod to display the temp, fan speed, and CPU rate for the G4 so we can monitor this. I think Speedfan will do it also out of SD.
Can someone with a G4 out of the dash and turned on try to slap it on the side and see if it locks up or reboots? I am still trying to isolate my shock problem and this info would help me.
