G4 Powers up, works well but NO SOUND? I/O A Appears to not be working. Please help

I'm sure someone here has had this problem before. I have an aftermarket amp in my car and it utilizes the RCA cables and a power signal wire running from an I/O socket. I plugged this into the I/O A port as instructed to, but it simply isn't giving any signal at all. I can hot wire my amp to turn on with the Infils Amp On circuit, but then theres only static. The I/O A port simply seems to not be working at all.
Please help

The G4 is like 6 years old and long since out of production.

It was sold through this website, if the support staff of this website have no memory of the causes associated with my problem in only 6 years thats pretty sad. Besides who are you to say Get over it like that, just because I don't buy something new does not mean I don't deserve help or support for problems when they arise.
