The G4 will come out standby in 2 or 3 seconds. Believe it or not.

Is that with Streetdeck as the shell, or Windows?

Windows, IIRC. If we made SD the shell out of the box, that would throw alot of the non-hobbiest market off, and be more trouble than it's worth, really.

Definitely agree with you there. Well that's impressive. This makes me want to get my hands on this unit even more so than before. Guess I need to get to cutting behind my dash like Zip-Lock had to do, since VW had to go and design their openings for a completely different standard (Euro-Din).

You don't have to hack too much apart. Just the cage that holds the stock radio. You just need to cut the brace across the back. Could probably do it with a pair of scissors.

The width and height is standard double-din, correct? What is the depth?

The depth really depends on if you measure the screen or not which can stick out beyond the front of your console and still look good.

You need at least 6.25" to even hope to fit it. Add another 1" to that to fit the cables behind it so you will need at least 7.25" in certain places where the cables stick out.

Thanks for that and for the pics, GOCPU... yeah, the reason I ask is because I want to get it in as deep as possible with it sticking out as little as possible. In Zip-Lock's pics, he has it sticking it out just a little bit, and I think it looks really good.

    Hey Red,

The Specs and pics sticky shows:

    Features:

    CPU: C7 1.5GHz
    Memory: DDR2 (SODIMM)
    LCD: 800 X 480 26만 Color 6.5″ TFT LCD SHARP...

    How much RAM?

How does one of these screens compare to a transreflective unit?

One thing that mp3car has done recently is offered the T3 at $999 for just the hardware... it would be FANTASTIC if they offered the G4 in the same fashion
