Embedded setup for the OM team
tripzero has already started some great work on designing an all in one carPC based on an embedded board. At the moment, OpenMobile is really the best choice for an embedded setup due to its available plugins (that can run on arm) and its ability to use the graphics chip to help with the low powered processor. Unfortunately, getting our graphics engine running on an embedded graphics chip hasn't been as easy as we would have liked (at the moment it falls back to software rendering). As this will no doubt play a large part in mp3cars future (embedded setups replacing the traditional PC), I would like to request an arm based platform for us to develop on. All of our work is (and will continue to be) open source, so this project will no doubt help many whether they are openMobile users or not.
This is obviously a rather large request so we would be quite happy just to receive an igepv2 board. Although if possible, or possibly as future requests, an expansion board and 7" seiko lcd would be incredible.
