I know there has been quite a bit of interest over the years in our Sunlight Readable Lilliput 629 monitor. I also know its a very expensive item and many of you would like to see a less expensive version on our store.
We are continuously looking for less expensive options. However, until we find one up to our quality standards and to help fill this need, we are going to initiate our first group buy for our existing Sunlight Readable monitor.
Here are the terms:
The group buy price is $529 each.
We need at least 10 monitors to be purchased by December 18, 2009 in order for the group buy offer to be extended to everyone involved.
If 10 monitors are not purchased by December 18, 2009 at 12:00pm Eastern time, refunds will be granted to everyone who has purchased a monitor.
December 18, 2009 at 12:00 pm Eastern time is the deadline for this offer. Orders placed after this time will not be honored and refunds will be issued.
Prepayment of these monitors is required.

Great price, but I am going to hold out for a commercially produced transflective screen with capacitave touch, preferably a raw panel that doesn't lose the warranty when installed. 60 day warranty is a little weak too, even if everyone voids it by opening it up.
You can get a far superior LinITX transflective for that price.

The xenarc is not transflective. It's one of the screens that tries to "out shine" the sun, rather than deflecting the light. There was a post on here about the differences between transflective, sunlight readable, and ultra bright "names" for screens a while back.

We sell that monitor on the store for $484.99. And, it is not as bright, we have done comparisons.
Is this based on the newest one from Lilliput? Does it has a DVI output? Auto turn on feature built in like Xenarcs?
I wonder how it compares with the top of the line mo-co-so Tranflective Lilliput.

Here is a side by side comparison with a military grade sunlight readable display used in Sikorsky helicopters. Everyone has their own opinion, but we are proud of this unit.

We can probably program your unit to auto turn on if that is important to you. There is not a DVI input or output.
