How to install double din LCD?

Hey guys, I have a lilliput I bought pre-assembeled in a double din bracket. I am trying to install it in my 2000 honda civic which is double din sized. I picked up a standard double din adaptor, popped it in the dash, and it basically fills the gap between the dash and where 2 single or 1 double din stereo components would go. The lilliput LCD in the bracket fits fine behind the dash and lines up with the mounting holes etc, and even looks *ok* without any dash kit, but their is a bit of a gap all around the LCD. When I try to install the LCD behind the dash kit it will not sit nice and flush or fit inside the standard double din cutout in the dash kit.

I have no idea what the LCD should look like when installed in a standard car dash using a universal double din dash kit (not a custom vehicle specific dash kit) so I thought I knew how it was supposed to work but their is no way these two pieces are going to work together. Anyone know how this LCD is supposed to be installed? The info says it works with standard dash kits...

I am working on the same thing. Same screen with the double din. I ordered the kit for my vehicle specifically and should have it in a few days and I will let you know when I get it how it go's.

I installed it and then covered the gap with an aluminum bracket from this company who sells similar LCD's. My dash on my civic is a double din dash, the issue it turns out was their is no trim piece to cover the gap between the LCD and the dash.... Had it been a 2001, not a 2000, I could have a special plastic piece that fits my dash precisely.
