Does anyone have actual experience using this amplifier? What's your opinion on it? Good/Bad/Mediocre? Note that I don't need much more than a standard head unit amp quality and volume.

Also, could you please point me to the review(s) for it? I tried googling and searching the forum but to no avail.

    Thanks!

hi, new guy. i have one of these, been using it for about 2 or 3 months. it actually suprised me on the sound quality and power. it has more power than my factory head unit did, and it seems realy clean. i didn't have much of a choice as my car has little room for add-ons such as amps. what ever i do has to fit in the dash. it does the job nicely.

Why not try this product out?

Read lots of reviews for them and instead of buying multiple of the above product, get this:

    Sure 4x100W @ 4 Ohm TK2050 Class-D Audio Amplifier Board

I have that and am in the process of installing it.

The Sure looks good, and that's a great price, but some reviews have been variable, shall we say. This looks pretty good too:

    and some forum discussions here:

    Some interesting possibilities here.

I'm going to install the Sure 4x100W once I have time and report my findings. I went with it b/c it's 4 channels and a lot better built than the one in this thread (IMO) + not having to buy TWO of them for a 4 channel rig makes a lot more sense.

We have a new TDA7850 Internal 4 x 50W Quad Bridge Power Amplifier. Similar to the DTA45, but a bit smaller with 4 channels now.

Very nice sound quality on our bench. We'll be installing this in a Nano ITX enclosure soon and installing in a test vehicle next. These will begin shipping in late April.

4x30 Watts (RMS): Not bad... Let's see how it performs inside the car. Will this have anti-thump built-in? At $80 a pop, I think I would still stick with the Sure 4x100W.

These will include an amplifier delay relay timer that can be used to solve the anti-thump problem.

uh-oh, i don't see a heat sink on that... expect a lot of returns from the amp chip burning up...'

this is a similar tripath chipset that is used in 41hz.com's amp9 amp..

here is nivanov's build thread detailing what he had to do to cool the chipset:
