quite the oposite, Salvi....i know exactly what im doing and where other reputable online retailers are at...but i was unable to locate a one stop shop for a transflective screen (even on ebay...i would have to buy a screen and send it out when i got it). My PSU i probably could have gotten a little cheaper at some other website, but if its a few bucks, i dont mind. if i dont have to set up a new account and remember another friggin password and receive even more spam email..ill take it...and besides, does it really matter if we spend just a few dollars more? and to top it off...customer service is totally fantastic at mp3car.com...which im sorry to say i cant say for newegg (they would never go out of their way to actually look at something that i tore apart to put into my car...and voided all warrenties int he process) or any other online retailer i frequent (not just car-pc oriented)...

can you mention a site where you can find a 7inch tranflective screen for less? i cant...

Or a DSATX? or a HQCT? and on and on...........

You're comming across a little bit insulting my friend. You should be careful making assumptions about people "screwing up" when you don't seem to have a clue yourself.
Who cares if they "screwed up"? The store was still willing to help them out, seems to be worth a little extra cash to me.

And that's really what we're talking about here. Customer service.

I already said the products are a little more expensive in the store than other places. In some cases a fair bit. Where the value comes in is the ability to get items that would not otherwise be available and people that stand behind thier products.

Go ahead and order your parts directly from hong kong, china, etc. See what you get when there's a couple dead pixels, an f'd up screen after a couple weeks, or something gone wrong in the depths of your "bargain" power supply.

bet it won't seem like such a bargain then, "Mr Ho" is usually pretty un-sympathetic..........and even then, the shipping is murder.

let's keep it clean guys...let's keep it clean.

salvi - if you have something negative to say, at least back it up with example or fact, because as it sits right now all we're seeing is someone who just wants to complain about something.

if you can't do this, I'm going to have to ask you to not post in this thread as it's not adding anything valuable either way.

    Sure red,

Sorry, got a little carried away.

    Apologies to anyone taking offence.

    Cheers

I gotta say the ordering process was not smooth. It rejected my card several times then said that I could not order online and that I had to call them; so I did 3 times and got no answer. My roomate ordered stuff, his shipped before mine and I ordered first. none of my items said out of stock. Oh yeah and they still have not responded to my email (sent several days ago) about simple product info, and when I called them for that no answer either (thanks to you guys for answering my post). I though it was because of the time zone difference, but no they are 3hrs ahead of me and it was 11am here...

Sorry about that. We had a QA meeting today that tied up everyone a bit longer then expected. We normally answer the phones between 10AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday.

What about the lack of email response? I realize that people might be busy, but someone from the store (i beleive red) told me not to ask my product specific questions on the forum (even under the mp3store thread); while nobody responded to my email and still havn't. Another forum member helped me out before the store did, which is fine but putting the forum over customer relations is not good for business.

I only make these points out of respect and intrest for this new hobby/industry. I have not had a better experience with the amount of info mp3car.com and this forum have given me, ever.

on a lighter note, i ordered the major components of my carputer from mp3 and will be putting a write up, up when i start farbrication/installation.

The service I've received from mp3car has been so so. Only problems I've had is that the site wouldnt accept the credit cards I tried using eventhough I verified with my bank the address on them, a few of my emails got overlooked, and that I was not notified by them that my payment was received, instead I had to ask them to confirm(1st time I did wire transfer my bank coudlnt find their bank). I can't really speak on their shipping times I sent the money about 2 weeks ago but my status is still pending. It's most likely because i ordered a 05/06 g35 TSV screen/housing but unsure because they didn't respond to my email about when it would be ready to ship

I don't believe I told you to not post your questions on the forum. Rather, I stated that I wouldn't necessarially rely on the forum, I would try calling and emailing.

I'm also not from the store. I work for the company, not the store directly. Otherwise, I would have answered your question directly.
