HELLO guys I'm about to install my car pc, and I want to install xm satelite radio on my car too using RR as my front end. Can you guys tell me what's the diference between the XM DIRECT UNIVERSAL TURNER/Mp3Car USB adapter for XM Direct.

I really want to know a little about the instalation of each on, and wich one work better with road runner. I have allready a satelite radio reciever that I get fron b3stboy if that helps.

You need the XM direct box to receive the XM signal with any solution you choose.(The adapters do not work with other receivers). Both solutions will work equally well with Roadrunner. The USB adapter is used in lieu of a home made cable solution discussed here in the forums. It is how the data is sent to your PC. I and several others here use the home made solution that connect to a com port on your PC with no problems. The MP3car solution is well spoken of as well and goes directly to USB. I hope this helps and if it is not accurate please correct me.

You buy the USB adapter to make it work with the computer. However, you have to have a front end that can utilize the driver for it.

Yes. You need both devices or you make your own cable like some have done here on the forums.

If I'm not using a front end, how do you actually use the satellite radio after you have installed the hardware?
