with some of the new features that have been added there are some things everybody should know in order to get them working. This particular post is referring to the association and use of album Artwork within the app. to get this working follow these instructions.
There are several different methods that will achieve the same result here i will list them from easiest to hardest. (the only reason i am including the hard options is for a last resort for anyone unable to get the previous methods to work).
Method 1:
Use the new "Auto associate" button in the decoder section. this is found by going to the prefs window and clicking "decode iTunes albumArt" button. For this method to work you will need to do several things:
1. have a folder named "NAS AlbumArt" located in your "documents" folder on your system.
here is where you need to store the images you want to use for the album art.
2. fill the folder with the artwork with each image named in the convention of "AlbumName - Artist.jpg" or "AlbumName - Artist.png". the album name must come first followed by the artist, with a space on either side of the hyphen.
The easiest way to do this is to download this applescript for itunes and run it. you simply select all of your songs in itunes and then run the script. when it asks where to store the images, point it to the "NAS AlbumArt" folder you made earlier. this will spit the images out in the correct naming convention.
once this folder has all of your artwork just run NAS and click "auto associate" and you are good to go!
i will fill out the other ways to accomplish this later. it is late and i need sleep!
