I took the liberty of starting this thread (I hope you dont mind Netsuo) to try and debug the Unexpected error on Neocar Media Center, while we dont get our own forum for this promising app...
Anyways people that still have problems please try the following and post feedback...
Check your "Services" (Under Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Services), whether the DCOM Server Process Launcher is started. Apparently VB6 apps require this to be started and some apps disable this. (I havent had time to go to my carpc that is having trouble, but it looks like a plausible thing, because I installed a nLite verison of windows with a lot of stuff disable for a quick boot)... I am also for some reason unable to stop this process on my current test machine so I cant test it out...
I hope this helps... And NetSuo keep the updates coming!We love Betas, if you dont wanna just throw it out here I'd love to beta test for you... I should be getting my xenarc one of these days and then I'll be really testing this stuff hardcore!

The strange thing is, I had the application running fine, but after I changed some power and appearance settings in XP, it now gives me the unexpected error!
I changed everything back but that didn't solve the problem...
I hope to find something.
Any new developements on this error?

I will also be installing my carpc again without SP2 to see what gives...
I did install it on SP1 and it worked but stopped working without much changes done... (see above). I upgraded to SP2 since then but no change

That did the trick. I went straight to my car when I read your post and fiddled around a bit with the display settings. This is what I did:
-Set display to 16bit color, 800x600 (was 32bit, 800x600)
-Tried to start NMC -> "Erreur inattendu"
-Set display back to 32bit, but now 1024x768
-Tried to start NMC, and it started but was only 800x600 pixels big
-Closed NMC and set display back to 32bit, 800x600
-Tried to start NMC, and it DID! Yessss....
All this at 60Hz, with VIA epia MII 12000 on a Xenarc, new gen.
Now I can start making a skin
