to give you a better idea of what I mean, here a pic of what I need the window for.. everything inside the red square is D3 (skinned of course)
Lo fella.. I know you have alot on your plate.. but would it be possible to create a external app, that you can configure the embedded window, like you can the embedded filelist, so you can put buttons round it ?
This is my idea anyway below.. At the moment D3 sits above the skin, rather than in it.

i know what you want to make. Before actual system NMC was created to work as you want.. but i've changed for some code reasons.. Must see if i can find a way to make this available![]()

Sure it can be done pretty easily, just use windows api to make the Des a child of the app that you want, and then use the sendmessage api to configue the widh hight and frame style...
Man, i allready have a "apps embedding" function working with API's, but what i say is just "i must see HOW i can include this function in NMC to make it simple to use and to configure"![]()

Wouldn't this affect the update speed of D3 though? I've noticed that 1.1.3 has some kind of latency problem as my position on the map is roughly 2secs / 30yds behind actual position where 1.1.2 was spot on. 1.1.3 also seems to take longer to load and will not embed in MediaCar on my setup no matter what I do.
*** Having said that though, I'm now using NMEA on 1.1.3, and 1.1.2 uses Sirf...

Why are you using the D3 front end rather than embedding the D3 object in your application directly?
If I understand the D3 frontend is a stand alone application, if you wanted to you could just integrate the actual D3 core functions directly into your own application?
I use D3 frontend rather than embedding it why i dont have any time to make this yet. This will come with release 0.8 of NMC.
I wish to finish some functions before starting to embed any GPS software.

Right, but if you had all the time in the world you would embed it into the application directly right? I'm doing the same thing the applicaiton that I use and I just want to make sure I'm heading down the right road.
