    Question Problems in NCP

Is anyone else having trouble using NCP? I've come across a couple of problems so far:

    1. I find that occasionally buttons are losing their function in NMC. When i open the skin with NCP the layout is all ok but when i double click on a button there is no function specified. I had to input all the functions over again but the same has happened again today.

    2. I cant get the embedded filelist to show. When i start NMC i get an error as shown in picture below. Using skin validation it tells me the font alignment is missing, but when i add the alignment all i get in the list is "text 1" as shown.

    Any ideas???

Edit: Also, what do u guys think of the skin? Any comments welcome

    - The text format for the filelist is fixed, please use NPC "filelist" tab or look at Light skin for an example. You cant change fontalign for the filelists.
    - Dont use skin validation: it does not validate the skin more (its old validation format).
    - i know, i don't have made any doc, but please look at Light skin for reference to control your skins.
    - you can open your skin.xml in Internet Explorer to see if it is a valid XML file. Sometimes i'm sure you just forgot control's name (sometimes NPC allows you to create a control without name, its a bug)

Sorry for the speed answer, i do not have more time for now

I have tried looking at Light skin for reference. Just make sure i am doing this right.

    In NPC draw filelist control
    Add control name FILELIST
    Adjust font and colour settings
    Press OK

This is how i have been doing all along.

Note that after creating the control if i close NPC and open skin, when i double click on the filelist control it opens edit control on the BUTTONS tab instead of FILELIST tab, as with light skin.
Also when i open skin i get this error:

ok.. there's a problem with XML save. So open up skin.xml in Internet Explorer and look the bottom of the file, you will probably see an error indicating whats wrong. Just open the file in notepad and change what's needed where's the error.

If you dont find the problem, send me skin.xml @ netsuo _at_ bluewin.ch

    look here:

    Code:
     <N_FONTCOLOR>Text1|#FF|#FFFFFF</N_FONTCOLOR>
      <N_FONTALIGN />
      <FORMAT>%filelist|32,32|64,64|128,128</FORMAT>
It sems that i have a problem while saving filelist's XML code. So sometimes you see <N_FONTALIGN> is false. Just replace by <N_FONTALIGN></N_FONTALIGN>.
There's another error with color not set for normal mode (if you dont select it one time in NPC, color is not saved in XML, see "Text1")

I'll correct theses bugs for next version

Also lost all the settings of the buttons yesterday night of all the parts of the skin I already had done. Untill the problem is solved, I now save sepparate xml files for each skin part (main, audio, ...) and glue them together after I have done all.

    BTW : Which skin Spaceman?
