feature request: Keyboard control

I love the user tunability. But it doesnt seem to save. I just took apart my ancient joystick, and being able to map keyboard controls and control nmc seems like an interesting and functional way to alternately control a front end beside the touchscreen.

You need to update the clavier.xml file.

alright, now Ive mapped controls, and they dont work. For example:

map volume up and down, but pushing them displays the current volume, will not change it.

same with half or more of the keyboard shortcuts.

any ideas?
